It was an honor to be the wedding photographers for Alanna and Steve’s Maine rustic barn wedding this past summer. When Alanna first contacted us about capturing the day, I knew it was going to be beautiful and every little detail was going to be flawless. From the choice of venue, to favors and flowers a lot of thought and effort was put into planning their special day.
On the day of the wedding the weather was perfect, a typical Maine August day. While the bridal party prepared in a gorgeous house down the road from the venue, the groom and his groomsmen got ready at the bride and groom’s home. The ceremony took place outside of the Inn at Fogg Farm Barn, and the couple was married under a beautifully decorated arbor full of flowers. A personal touch of the wedding day was the ceremony performed by the bride’s best friend. The bride’s bouquet and groom’s boutonniere both had photos incorporated of late family members, a loving touch to keep them close in their hearts on their wedding day.
Following the ceremony, celebrations were moved into the beautiful rustic barn at the Inn at Fogg Farm. There was a wonderful spread of food, and guests were gifted custom drink koozies and packets of seeds to “Let Love Grow”. A very touching and emotional dance was shared with the bride and her father. Later in the evening the bride’s sister sang a song and played the ukulele, a special moment for the bride and groom. After speeches and cake, family and friends danced the night away. We wish Alanna and Steve many years of memories and happiness as husband and wife.
