Gisland Farm Maine Audubon Photo Session
As professional photographers we at Flutter Focus Photography greatly value the importance of hiring other professionals for our own photography needs. So, this past spring when we were looking to update our headshots, and a team photo, we knew we needed to hire someone we trusted and whose work we loved. Having a large network of photographer colleagues and friends made this an easy task, yet also difficult to narrow it down. We chose Will Wohler of Wohler and Co for his expertise in branding sessions and his fun personality. We’re so happy with the results!
Pre-Session Consultation
I met with Will in person to discuss my vision. He listened to my ideas and thoughts, and gave his opinions. We discussed location ideas, wardrobe, and concerns. He explained his process of how the session would go and how our images would be delivered. Will did a great job answering my questions and worries. Even though I have my own photography business, we all operate a little different. I’m so much more comfortable behind the camera than in front of it. Will definitely made it an easy process from start to finish.
Session
The morning of the scheduled session Joanne and I had our hair and makeup professionally done. Jodi Goldrup from Halcyon Salon was in charge of hair and Samantha Spaulding of Halcyon Salon did our makeup. It was a fun morning of getting pampered. In the afternoon we met Will at the Maine Audubon Gisland Farm in Falmouth, Maine. Although we were all nervous and would have rather been taking the photos than having them taken of us, Will made the session fun and painless. Again, even though we are photographers ourselves, we still feel awkward and need guidance in front of a camera. It was a great exercise to be on the other side of the lens and feel how our clients might feel from time to time.

After the session we all met with Will for our image reveal. Will presented the images over a slideshow and went over each one. We had such a hard time picking the final images, we loved them all! Thank you Will for your expertise and a great session!
