April & Kelly Engagement Session Phippsburg, Maine

It was a chilly, yet beautiful winter afternoon for April & Kelly’s engagement photos. The sun was setting perfectly behind some fluffy clouds, and there was no chance of precipitation. We were anxiously watching the weather leading up to the scheduled session, crossing our fingers that rain was not going to be predicted. We lucked out as Maine winters can be so unpredictable! April and Kelly traveled from Massachusetts to April’s parents’ home in Phippsburg, Maine. It was a gorgeous backdrop for some timeless and classic engagement photos. I love it when couples choose a setting that means something to them, it makes it that much more special and personal. We were able to coordinate the session alongside April’s first dress shopping appointments. It worked out perfectly! I can’t wait to see what she chose for a dress.

April and Kelly had their first date May of 2017. They met at a bookstore on Newbury Street in Boston and hit it off. They then went to the bookstore bar for drinks and ended up next to Julian Edleman! April and Kelly were recently engaged on January 17th 2019. Kelly proposed to April at the spot where they had their first kiss. How romantic! It turns out that April works for the same company that I (Emily) work per-diem for during the off season. What a small world! We couldn’t believe it when found that out.

April and Kelly are the sweetest couple and we can’t wait for their wedding this summer at Sebasco Harbor Resort in Phippsburg, Maine. I’m sure it’s going to be a great time, and will produce even more beautiful photos.
